Week 157 - Maize

  • We continued our Holt holiday.
  • My aunt and uncle live in Norfolk so we met them in Wroxham for lunch at the hotel and spend the afternoon at Wroxham Barns, a farm with family-friendly activities. We played mini golf, navigated a maize maze, the boys rode some rides and we all ate ice creams.
  • It was nice to see my relatives and for the boys to impress my uncle with their Arsenal knowledge. He took me to Highbury in the late eighties and is to blame that we’re all Gooners.
  • After charging the car in Kings Lynn, and waiting for the unexpected heavy rain to stop, we revisited Sandringham. The boys enjoyed the playground. I used the nice toilets. We then decided to move on to the seaside at Hunstanton. More ice cream and then several pounds of 2ps were wasted on the 2p machines in the arcade.
  • I picked out a new beach to visit - West Runton - which was sandy but very windy and cold. The rest of my family were willing to endure it far longer than me. More holes were dug.
  • Back home H was excited to be playing for his (now) under-9s football team. It was a preseason friendly against local rivals to practise playing seven-a-side matches. They were thumped 9-2. Ouch.
